Healing Oneself Holistically
Dictionary.com com defines "holistic" as, "incorporating the concept of holism, or the idea that the whole is more than merely the sum of its parts, in theory or practice. The parts of the spiritual human being are a trinity of the body, mind and spirit. To heal oneself "holistically," and in this light, is referential to the natural indwelling healing intelligence within the body. This is an innate wisdom that is the Spirit of God within oneself. Ultimately, to heal oneself holistically, means that God's healing consciousness is affecting the perceived "power to heal oneself," and It moves through inner meditation upon him, to the outermost conscious mind where, when realized, one is able to wield it through meditation and affirmation.
The Chain of Command in the Holistic Spiritual Healing Process
Spirit or God
The chain of command in the holistic Spiritual healing process, includes Spirit (or universal mind energies), which affects the outermost consciousness. This then affects the body's energy levels. Access to this healing source is through meditation.
Through Meditation, Higher Spiritual Energies are Realized by the Outermost Consciousness
Next, to attain holistic Spiritual healing, one allows the outer human mind to increase in Higher Spiritual Energies/God-energy, as realized through the meditation process. Then, outside of meditation, the outermost consciousness is changed and takes action.
The Conscious Mind Takes Action
Lastly, the presence of God's energy to the outermost consciousness is a platform meant to direct the Higher energy of God to ailing parts of the body. In other words, one can meditate upon the Presence of God, increase his own conscious realization of the Spirit within himself, and then focus this energy upon the body to heal it. Ultimately, what we see in this Chain of Command of Spiritual energies, is that the ultimate holistic Spiritual healing process is meditation.
The Power of Affirmations
By using positive affirmations, one may assist himself in healing his perceived ill-health.. For example, one may extemporaneously affirm within his own mind, that "The Whole of God's energetic consciousness is a part of the consciousness of all of the billions of cells within my body." Because the body is an energy field, the connection to the energy of the Spirit of God is affirmed to work, and through repeated affirmations, alongside meditation upon the Presence of Spirit or God within oneself, the healing energies are directed.
A Simple Example of Spiritual Healing
A simple example of healing from this platform of thought, is to consider how much better one feels after he meditates. One feels better because he has made more direct contact through the mind with the natural healing intelligence of God within himself, thus adjusting naturally, the healing energies of the body that bring relaxation, peace, rejuvenation and revitalization.
Spiritual health is determined by whether or not an individual is living their specific life's purpose, as determined for this particular lifetime. If the purpose of the soul is not pursued, then the energies of the individual will affect the body's energies, causing ill health. Thus, a holistic approach to spiritual healing must take into account the spiritual health of a person, in order to understand the cause of any ill health and what needs to be cured.
Spiritual Solutions to Heal Thyself
Because the word "holistic," by definition, dictates seeing the Whole self as constructed of body, mind and Spirit, we understand that meditation is key. By beginning a meditation practice, and incorporating positive affirmations, one may begin to heal himself.
Further, if one is "out of alignment" with his life's purpose, which is defined as the self-realized passions and desires for life, he has literally positioned himself to not see the synchronicities and epiphanies that may inform him beyond meditation. These are communication from Spirit or God, as established in this notebook. To holistically heal oneself, one must enlist a meditative pursuit within himself, harness the power of the positive affirmation, and pursue whatever passion in him that is "pulling at him" the most.
Overall, begin each day with a point: affirm to oneself the power and healing presence of Spirit within oneself, i.e. "I affirm that God/Spirit intuitively directs my mind, which in turn directs me as to what I should do regarding the health and healing of my body." Also, meditate on the Presence of God, or Universal Consciousness every day, and if you need assistance, reach out in positivity to that inner, Higher Presence for intuitive Guidance. I have found that by devotedly meditating, at the very least with the consciousness focused upon one-point (such as the breath at the end of the nostrils), intuition increases, and eventually transforms into a loving relationship with Higher Understanding that can be utilized to live one's life differently, and one may provide his own opportunity to heal himself.
